Position:          Technical Support Specialist

Location:         Frisco, TX

 

VIA Information Systems is seeking a dynamic, results oriented individual to join our Customer Support team.  VIA, a division of VCA ANTECH, is a provider of veterinary practice management software used in the daily operations of veterinary hospitals.  This full-time position is located at our offices in Frisco, Texas.

 

The Technical Support Specialist should have 5+ years of related experience providing phone-based technical support for business applications.  We are seeking a performance-oriented person that will receive in-bound customer calls for technical support, provide prompt resolution via phone and email, and can comfortably interact with veterinarians and veterinary staff.  The candidate should possess a strong foundation in Microsoft Windows technologies and networking and be skilled in systemic troubleshooting and problem resolution.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Field inbound calls and emails from clients requesting technical support assistance

  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the software and hardware product offerings

  • Identify, correct, or advise on operational issues in client computer systems

  • Provide software training and assist with product documentation

  • Understand veterinary hospital workflow, operations, and processes

  • Available for 24/7 on-call rotation


Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Technologically savvy with Microsoft software and PC based hardware

  • Natural problem-solver that can promptly assess technical issues and provide resolution

  • Strong work ethic and results driven

  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and providing measurable results that demonstrate quality customer care

  • Motivated, goal oriented, high level of initiative and a strong desire to learn

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree

Position:      Technical Support Specialist – Hardware and Software – Level 1

Location:      Frisco, TX

 

VIA Information Systems is seeking a hardware-oriented Technical Support Specialist to support our business software operating in Microsoft Windows PC environments.  VIA, a division of VCA ANTECH, is a provider of veterinary practice management software used in the daily operations of veterinary hospitals.  This full-time position is located at our offices in Frisco, Texas.

 

The Technical Support Specialist should have 2 to 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft Desktop Technologies and familiarity with Microsoft Server operating systems and SQL Server.  We are seeking a performance-oriented person that will receive in-bound customer calls for technical support, provide prompt resolution via phone and email, and can comfortably interact with veterinarians and veterinary staff.

 

The candidate should possess a strong foundation on the basics of PC server hardware and networking and be skilled in systemic troubleshooting and problem resolution.  A solid understanding of networking principles – Ethernet, simple routing and switching technologies, name resolution, IP addressing and subnets is required.
