VIA™ Version 2.0 Released
Oct 17, 2003 - Plano, TX -- Veterinary software provider Elinc Corporation today announced that VIA™ Practice Management System 2.0 became available to customers. Product enhancements include a new treatment recall manager, finance charge capability, and Tablet PC consent forms, all features the company said its customers have requested.
The new recall functionality reminds veterinarians to check on a patient's condition days after a treatment has been administered to ensure the patient receives optimum health care. VIA's efficient recall manager displays pending and critical recalls for all patients, filtered by veterinarian. From one screen the veterinarian can review patient history, call the client, and enter final communications which are posted to the patient's medical history. The recall manager can help improve compliance, recognized by the American Animal Hospital Association as a major opportunity to improve patient care as well as hospital revenue.
The finance charge capability assesses charges to overdue balances as defined by the hospital. The upgrade also includes additional surgery, euthanasia, and treatment consent forms designed for the Tablet PC enable client signatures to be captured digitally and stored in the patient file. The new functionality is available at no additional charge.
