The equine veterinary software allows entry of handwritten notes, digital images, SOAP medical notes, radiographs, and laboratory results.  Consent forms, client education materials, invoices, statements, inventory, and controlled substance logbooks are all automatically generated based on the services provided.

VIA Equine is compatible with the versatile new Tablet PC computer for use in the field, as well as traditional laptops and desktop computers.  Wireless Tablet PC's and laptops allow you to access information in the barn or stall and instantly update billing and medical history without being physically plugged into your network.

The new VIA Sync synchronization module enables users to work with the full office database while in the field.  From the field a user can generate invoices, enter SOAP medical notes, client, and patient records.  Once the field work is completed the field changes are intelligently merged with the practice database through a one button click process. VIA's advanced merge replication technology lets a user stay 'disconnected' for weeks if desired, with the option of synchronizing remotely, even on a slow dial-up connection.

New DICOM compliant features allow for seamless integration with portable digital radiography and PACS (picture archiving and communications system) systems.  The new functionality streamlines the radiological workflow by integrating billing, modality study request, querying, and image viewing from any workstation.  In 2005, Elinc Corporation was acquired by Eklin Medical Systems, resulting in an integrated Practice Management/PACS solution composed of VIA and the Eklin RapidStore™ PACS platform.
